VOLUNTEERS
This is just a small example of the amount of firewood our volunteers have cut and split. This amazing group of senior members have kept the campground supplied with firewood all summer long. Hats off to our "wood splitters". Keep up the good work.
Friends volunteers are a major part of Codorus State Park. These volunteers are able to work on projects helping with the growth and prosperity of the park. For example: the volunteers cut, split and sell firewood in the campground. Ice is also available. With these proceeds, the FOCSP helped purchase the bay window in the visitors center, the bow window in the classroom building, computer equipment, pool repairs, just to name a few. Some Past projects the volunteers have worked on are: The Codorus Blast; Halloween in the Park; Breakfast with Santa; an Easter Egg hunt and already mentioned, firewood and ice sales. Present projects are The Gift Shop and Outpost Shop, both have a variety of merchandise. Future projects will include an Equestrian Overnight site, and continuing programs such as The Codorus Blast, Breakfast with Santa, Halloween in the park, and the Easter egg hunt. Volunteers are always needed for project and programs throughout the year. If you have any spare time call 717-630-2183 for more information. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
