VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION

The hours contributed by our volunteers for the Friends of Codorus State Park (FOCSP) are the backbone of the successes of our organization. A program to recognize the volunteers for several levels of hours contributed is in place. Any time you put in to support FOCSP and out mission is accountable. Some of the efforts that count as volunteer hours are: attendance at meetings for FOCSP, wood splitting, wood sawing, selling wood and ice, preparing food for events, helping at any event sponsored by FOCSP, any activity supporting Codorus State Park (CSP), Breakfast with Santa, Halloween in the Park, travel to and from events and meetings, writing articles for the web page or newsletter, board meeting attendance and preparation, work on projects. This list is not all inclusive.

There are log sheets available to use to submit you hours to the Volunteer Recognition Committee, Lynne Thompson,( elynnet@comcast.net)  by e-mail, mail, or dropping off at the park office. Any way you can provide these hours is acceptable. The form is for you convenience.

Taking the effort to log these hours allows us to demonstrate the effort an accomplishments of our group. When we apply for grants or ask for assistance and donations from individuals, groups, or businesses, we can demonstrate our contributions toward our mission goals.

The recognition items are as follows: 50 hours – logo T-shirt, 100 hours - logo cap, 250 hours – logo golf shirt, 500 hours – logo jacket, and so on. These items display the FOCSP logo on them and may generate conversations for us to speak of our group and mission. They are a nominal recognition for your dedicated efforts.

Please take the time to submit your hours for they are very valuable to all of us and show the effort we are providing to Codorus State park.
